Description
Wild Pure Tasmanian Pot Still Rum is a collection of single cask rum expressions fermented, distilled, and matured at our Somerset distillery just metres from the Bass Strait.
Our rum new make spirit is produced from organic panella sugar and brewed with pure Tasmania water before being double distilled in our alembic 100% copper pot still. Producing a light, floral, and ester rich spirit that has notes reminiscent of rhum agricol while still exhibiting a distinctly Tasmanian character strongly influenced by the ocean at our doorstep.
This release of Tasmanian pot still rum was traditionally aged for 3 years in a 50L ex Bendigo Shiraz cask, resulting in rich and complex rum with Fruit, spice, and everything nice on the nose, a bold and sweet body and a rich finish with a bouquet of red fruits.
This release of Will Pure Tasmanian pot still rum has a rich and robust cask driven character that melds perfectly with the latent sweetness of the rum spirit – best enjoyed neat by the fire on a stormy night.
