Description

At just under 20 months old (time in cask) Anthology Series 22 is our oldest release to date and is about as close as you can get to whisky without getting your face wet.  To bring this concoction to life Heavily peated spirit distilled early in 2019 was rapidly aged using ex shiraz casks, then left to mature in another 100L ex red wine cask until early in 2020 when it was transferred into an American Oak cask that had previously held green coffee beans.

Our last coffee cask finish scored a 91.5 in the whisky bible but we think this one is a more complete offering.  Rich earthy, chocolaty notes from the coffee influence have blended seamlessly with the heavy smoke of the Scottish peat and the dark stone fruit and berries provided by the shiraz oak.

This spirit needs time to acclimatise, so it is best left to breathe for a few minutes before enjoying or serve as part of a sweat, smoky take on a spirit-driven cocktail like our sultry and sublime Sidekick.
